Berkowitz, Michael Stuart of Tucson, AZ. Born Nov. 14, 1944, died Dec. 20, 2013 after a courageous battle with kidney disease, then leukemia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sol and Bernice Berkowitz; and his step-son, Harold Balderama. Survived and missed by wife of 25 years, Aida; son, Ashley; stepdaughter, Karen (Josh) Payne; sister, Eileen (Jeff) Silver; niece and nephew, Robin Schribman and David (Shannon) Schribman; 3 great nephews, Benjamin, Mason and Eli; 1 great niece, Alexandra; former brother- in-law, Arnie Schribman; and former wife and friend, Patricia Berkowitz.

He will be cremated. There will be a memorial service at the beginning of January to be determined in San Francisco, CA. Contributions in Michael's memory can be made to Aids, Kidney or Cancer foundations and sent to Aida Berkowitz, 968 West Lyman Lane, Tucson, AZ 85704.
